We built 3 educational apps to celebrate the world of fine jewelry design, centered around the brilliant designers who made each piece. These apps are data intensive, and our yearly pricing is guided by estimates of average data usage over the course of a year. Nonetheless we offer free access for students.
Our GLOG Retail app is used by jewelry retailers and it directly benefits the jewelry creators who receive purchase orders and commissions.
The 2,000 App is particularly extensive, a culmination of half a decade of research. It is updated daily.
Overall, we wish to help connoisseurs and retailers find a deeper appreciation of the artform of jewerly, as well to educate anyone interested in the incredible variety of fine jewelry.
All pieces of jewelry other than unsigned vintage or antiques are strictly accredited to the appropriate designers, with whom connoisseurs or retails or even creative fiancés can reach out and do business.
Our focus is fine jewelry, which also includes "high jewelry" and jewelry by artists. Creators are from around the world, from mid 19th century to present. They are selected for craftsmanship, detail, concepts, range of output, and what we call a charm and joy factor.
We only include created jewelry, no renderings.
We do not include curators, retail-only brands, or collectives that don't do collaborations.
The 2000 App includes an unsigned vintage/antique archive (3,000 curated pieces and growing), a collection of impressive "one off" pieces by designers who are not included in the main app, and a section for exceptional or collectable fashion jewelry.
We include very little fashion, costume, or "demi fine" jewelry, minus the above exception in The 2000 App. If creators produce both fine and demi-fine jewelry we'll generally only include the fine jewelry.
"Fine jewelry" is a somewhat vague term but our basic criteria is: a) use of fine metals, b) exclusion of plated or cheap materials like paste (glass), plastic, rhinestones, CZ, or flame-fusion gemstones, and c) a very rough minimum retail price of USD $1,000. Exceptions apply, and all work shows some level of design merit.
We do not include "typical" diamond engagement rings. They are a large sector in the jewerly market but they are not our focus.
Finally, we do include watches and objets d'art that stand out, but they are not the central focus of our apps.
Generally no, but The 2,000 App includes a section for exceptional or collectable fashion jewelry.

GLOG Retail subscribers can request detailed style collections for fashion or demi-fine jewelry.
No. otherwise our app would become "The 20,000 App". The current 2,000+ were curated for craftsmanship, detail, concepts, range of output, and what we call a charm and joy factor. Things that do not factor are country, social media followings, retail partnerships, etc.
Style collections are collections of designers or jewelry that are related to a topic or trend, available to 2000 App subscribers. Examples are: East Asia designers, California casual, modern arts & crafts, the mega Maisons, vintage, minimalist, India origins or influence, Scandinavian, mighty Singapore, pearl specialists, enamel & mosaics, ring specialists and more.
New style collections are added regularly to The 2000 App. Due to data limitations, style collections are not available in The 500 App.
GLOG Retail subscribers can request custom style collections based on any design or jewelry feature.

Our GLOG Retail app is for jewelry retailers who want to expand or upgrade their offerings. The app is also a large benefit to jewelry designers who can grow their business through purchase orders and custom commissions.
GLOG Retail users can also access more robust search features of our archive and compile custom style collections for a particular design or jewelry feature.
